Hi! I am Carly, and I am a licensed professional counselor. I became a therapist because there is nothing else I would rather do in this world than help people: I feel that it is my purpose, and you’ll quickly discover that I am equally as passionate about all of the work that I do.
As a therapist, I will help you understand find the meaning behind the events of your life, as well as in your actions and decisions, so that you can have a clearer perspective on your world and existence. Together, we can explore the implications of choices and underlying beliefs to achieve a deeper insight into the self.
My focus as a clinician is to help you make your own meaning and purpose out of what has happened, or is happening, in your life. I integrate evidence-based and experiential therapeutic modalities to help you to reach your goals. All clients are not the same, so I individualize our sessions in an effort to ensure those goals get met.
My office is always a safe space for everyone, and I make it a point to ensure your emotional safety comes first.
For those seeking couples counseling, I aim to create a nonjudgmental space where everyone feels heard and accepted, no matter the issue at hand. I have found that my own openness and acceptance helps couples feel comfortable in such vulnerable times.
It is my moral obligation to ensure that no matter what you are facing, you will be attended to and validated. I also know that therapy is difficult but rewarding work. Believe it or not, by reading this biography, you are already on your way to those rewards. I look forward to working with you soon.
Carly sees adults, children, teens, and couples and works with anxiety, panic disorder, LGBTQ+ concerns, depression, ADHD, life transitions, couples and families, and personality disorders. Carly is a doctoral student in counselor education and supervision at Adler University.
