Professional Summary

Hi, I am Crystal Rodriguez and I’m an intern at Life Counseling Institute. I am receiving a master’s degree in Couple and Family therapy from Northeastern Illinois University.

Therapy can be like a road trip. There will likely be some feelings of excitement as well as feelings of nervousness at the start of this new adventure. You might encounter some pit stops or bumps in the road, and you might find something magical along the way. You may have a new destination in mind instead of following your current path. I am here to help you along this journey by helping you establish goals, find new insights, adjust to transitions, find a new path, or just be present with you in the moment.

Life can bring about so many transitions that it can sometimes feel like you can’t keep up. Common transitions include having a child, getting divorced, or getting a new job. I’m here to help you explore your feelings about your challenges to guide you toward making adjustments that lead to peace, happiness with your life and relationships, and overall satisfaction with your life.

I believe in listening to your story: how your feelings may affect your actions and communications with others. To help you feel safe so that you can set and meet your goals. I’m here to help you rebuild connections and gain new ones. To make a sturdier foundation within yourself and in your relationships and to find new relationships that you didn’t know were possible.

Crystal works primarily with individuals, couples, and families. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, life transitions, relationship issues, and family conflict.
