Child Behavioral Issues

Areas of Expertise
Hello there! My name is Emily Lalich, and I’m a licensed social worker. I received my master’s in social work with a concentration in advanced clinical mental health.
At Life Counseling Institute, I primarily work with children and teens but love working with adults as well. I believe what’s most important to the success of counseling is the relationship between the therapist and client. As a therapist, I enjoy getting to know my clients on a personal level so that we can work together to develop tools and coping skills that are empowering, helping you reach your goals. I truly believe seeking help is a strength and as a team we can work to make positive change in your life.
I’ve worked in a variety of mental health settings, including a children’s advocacy center, where I used trauma-informed care to help children ages 3 to 18 and their parents. I’ve also worked at a domestic violence shelter, helping abused women and children, and in the school setting, helping young children, some with disabilities.
In my free time, I enjoy doing yoga, cooking, kickboxing, and being with my two dogs, Mickey and Cookie.
Emily works with children, teens, and adults. She has particular experience working with anxiety, depression, life transitions, stress, and child behavioral issues.
