Professional Summary
Hi! My name is Eileen Sears, and I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor. I believe that life’s transitions can bring both challenges and opportunities for growth, and you don’t have to navigate them alone. My goal is to create a supportive, compassionate space where you can better understand yourself, work through challenges, and move forward feeling more confident and empowered.
I work with clients who are navigating life transitions, relationship concerns, infertility, and postpartum or perinatal challenges. Whether you are adjusting to a new chapter of life, working through relationship difficulties, coping with the emotional impact of infertility, or finding your footing during the postpartum period, I’m here to help you feel supported and understood.
Collaboration is at the heart of my approach to counseling. I believe therapy should be a partnership built on trust, respect, and genuine connection. Together, we will identify patterns that may be keeping you stuck, develop practical coping strategies, and build on the strengths and tools you already have to create meaningful change.
My approach incorporates evidence-based techniques from CBT, ACT, DBT, solution-focused, and client-centered therapies, while tailoring treatment to your individual needs and goals. I also bring several years of experience working with adolescents and families in the school setting, which has strengthened my understanding of relationships, transitions, anxiety, depression, and the many factors that shape emotional well-being.
Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, uncertain, or simply ready for a change, I would be honored to support you through this next chapter.
Eileen works with couples, teens and adults. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, stress, life transitions, relationship issues, postpartum and adolescent behavioral issues. Eileen works in our Willowbrook therapy office and also offers online therapy throughout Illinois
