Professional Summary

Hello! I’m Nicole and I am an associate licensed marriage and family therapist at Life Counseling Institute. I believe therapy should be a space where you can be yourself, feel heard, and talk openly about the things that matter most to you. Reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when you are not sure where to begin. My goal is to create a warm, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you feel comfortable being open and working through things at your own pace.

I work with adolescents, young adults, individuals, couples, and families who may be experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, family conflict, communication challenges, life transitions, or questions about identity and belonging. I especially enjoy helping clients better understand themselves and their relationships while developing healthier ways to communicate, cope, and connect.

My approach is collaborative and individualized. As an associate Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe that our relationships, family experiences, and the environments we grow up in can have a meaningful impact on how we understand ourselves and navigate the world. I use a systemic perspective to explore these patterns while also incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Emotionally Focused Therapy when they are appropriate for the client.

I also value creating an affirming space for clients who are exploring their identity. This may include LGBTQIA+ identity, racial and cultural identity, family expectations, or the ways different parts of your identity intersect with your relationships and mental health.

Whether you are working through a difficult relationship, navigating a major life change, struggling with your mental health, or simply wanting to understand yourself better, you do not have to figure everything out on your own. I would be honored to meet you where you are and support you as you take your next step.

Nicole works with teens, adults, couples and families. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, life transitions, LGBTQIA+, and relationship and family issues.
