Professional Summary

Hello! My name is Gia Hill, and I’m a master’s level therapist at Life Counseling Institute. Seeking therapy is a courageous step toward understanding yourself and creating meaningful change, and I’m honored to walk with you on that journey. I believe that lasting growth begins with a safe space to explore your thoughts and emotions, and my priority is to create that for you. I foster an empathetic atmosphere free of judgment, where you can feel supported as we work together.

I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults across a variety of diverse backgrounds and presenting concerns. I draw from evidence-based orientations, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), as well as various play and art-based interventions. I tailor these approaches to each client’s needs and always ground my work in a person-centered philosophy that honors your individuality, strengths, and lived experience.

Through my work supporting individuals with obsessive-compulsive and other anxiety disorders, I’ve seen firsthand the courage it takes to face intrusive thoughts and overwhelming urges. I’m here to help you understand why these experiences happen and guide you toward reclaiming your life from anxiety so you can engage more fully with the world around you. My goal is to provide care that is personalized, and empowering, honoring your resilience every step of the way.

I look forward to meeting you and beginning our work together!

Gia works with kids, teens, and adults. She has experience working with anxiety, depression, OCD, life transitions, and behavioral and social issues. Gia sees clients in our Willowbrook and Park Ridge therapy offices and also offers online therapy throughout Illinois.
